"I Guess That's Why They Call It the Blues" is a song sung by Elton John & featuring Stevie Wonder on harmonica that can be found on Elton John's album Too Low for Zero. It was also featured on the soundtrack to the British movie Peter Friend's. The music was written by Elton John & the lyrics were written by Bernie Taupin.

The song was released as a single in April of 1983. It reached number 5 on the UK charts & number 4 in the U.S. six months later.

The video was filmed in The Rivoli Ballroom in London.
